Schall Collection is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the applicable regulations, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data controller is Schall Collection, 11 rue Daguerre, 75014 Paris, France [legal entity details — to complete].

Hosting and server logs. When you visit the website, the server records technical access logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, date and time). They are used for security and to keep the website running, on the basis of our legitimate interest, and are kept for 30 days. The server is operated by OVHcloud in France.

Contact form and inquiries. When you write to us through the contact form or the “Inquiry” window of the image viewer, we collect your first name, surname, company (optional), email address, inquiry type and message (which may include the reference of a photograph). This data is used only to answer your request, for example a licensing or print request, on the basis of your request and the steps taken before a possible contract [legal basis to confirm — to complete]. Your message is sent by email to Schall Collection through Google Workspace (Google) and is not stored on this website. Your IP address is held in memory for ten minutes to limit abuse of the form.

Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address. The newsletter is managed by Intuit Mailchimp, based in the United States; transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework [transfer safeguards to confirm — to complete]. Subscription uses a double opt-in: you confirm it by clicking a link in an email, and Mailchimp records the IP address and the date of that confirmation. Newsletter emails measure opens and clicks on links. The legal basis is your consent; you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

Instagram feed. The Instagram images shown on the home page are copied to and served from our own server. Displaying them sends no data about you to Meta. If you click a post, you leave this website for Instagram, where Meta’s own policies apply.

Google Analytics. Google Analytics is used only if you accept it; see the Cookie Policy below.

Recipients and processors. Your data is intended for Schall Collection only. The following providers process it on our behalf: OVHcloud (hosting, France), Google (Google Workspace email and, with your consent, Google Analytics) and Intuit Mailchimp (newsletter, United States).

Retention. Server logs are kept for 30 days. Contact messages are kept in Schall Collection’s mailbox for the time needed to handle your request [duration — to complete]. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Audience measurement. With your consent only, this website uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to measure its audience. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>, kept for 13 months at most. Google Analytics data is kept [retention period set in Google Analytics — to complete]. Data may be transferred to the United States [transfer safeguards — to complete]. Google Signals and ad personalisation are disabled. As long as you have not accepted, the Google Analytics script is not loaded at all.

Strictly necessary cookies. The site administration area uses session and draft preview cookies reserved for the people who manage the site. No other cookie is set on visitors: the website loads no other third-party script, and its fonts are served from our own server.
